Ted’s career in construction is defined by a rare synergy of multi-generational craftsmanship, engineering principles, and modern architectural design. Beginning his journey at a young age. Ted received a master-class education under the mentorship of his grandfathers—one a master builder and developer, and the other a medal-decorated WW2 U.S. Air-Force Pilot and civil engineer—as well as his father, a highly skilled licensed contractor. This early immersion provided him with a foundational mastery of carpentry, woodworking, and technical oversight that spans decades.
With over 25 years of industry experience, Ted has successfully bridged the gap between traditional "bags on - tool bags” building and technical design. His formal education in architecture and Computer-Aided Drafting (CAD) allows him to translate complex blueprints into structural reality with surgical precision. This unique triple perspective—understanding the artistry of a hand-drafted plan, the precision of civil engineering, and the physical demands of the job site—ensures that every project he manages is executed with unparalleled technical integrity and efficiency.

YOUNGCore Builder represents a distinguished three-generation legacy of craftsmanship and construction excellence throughout Santa Cruz County and the Bay Area.
This tradition began in the 1960s with Ted’s grandfather, the first generation, who established the family's reputation for quality during a transformative era for California infrastructure. The torch was passed in the 1980s to Ted’s father, the second generation, who expanded the family's footprint during a decade of significant regional growth.
Since the 1990s, Ted carried this heritage and construction experience into the present day, establishing YOUNGCore Builder in 2025, as a third-generation builder. By combining decades of inherited trade knowledge with modern construction techniques and design, we continue to shape the skyline.
